Jobtailor is seeking a highly skilled engineer to engage with defence and security users, design and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, and integrate live intelligence into operational workflows. The role requires end-to-end ownership, travel across Europe, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders in challenging environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Palantir Foundry experience, strong software engineering background, and is eligible for NATO clearance or has it already.

Qualifications

Strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, or an equally technical field
Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience with pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks, and application development
Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash, or Go
Three years or more of professional software or forward-deployed / solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production
Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models and reason about technical decisions’ operational impact
Experience with containers such as Docker or Podman and orchestration such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
Solid Linux, networking, and on-premise fundamentals
Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders and shifting objectives
Active NATO clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
Right to work in the EU, or UK-based eligibility
Nice to have: experience in classified, air-gapped, or disconnected environments; defence, intelligence, national-security, or emergency-management background; geospatial platforms such as Esri or ArcGIS; command-and-control systems; front-end frameworks; NATO and national defence accreditation and compliance; a second European language

Own solutions end to end, from initial whiteboard concept through operational deployment
Debug infrastructure, networking, and application issues in restricted, disconnected, or on-premise settings
Advise customer engineers and operators and relay feedback into the product
Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25%–75% of the time
