Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Palantir Foundry engineer to design and deploy data pipelines, ontologies, and operator-facing apps for defence and security workflows. You will integrate live intelligence into secure, on-site environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe.

The role requires hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, Docker/Kubernetes, and strong software engineering skills.

Qualifications

Three or more years of professional software or forward-deployed/solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production.
Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience, including pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks and application development.
Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash or Go.
Ability to learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models quickly.
Experience with Docker or Podman containers and Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration.
Solid Linux, networking and on-premise fundamentals.
Active NATO clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the EU, or UK-based eligibility.

Responsabilités

Integrate live intelligence into workflows, common operating pictures and command-and-control tooling.
Build and tune custom widgets.
Own solutions end to end with limited supervision.
Debug infrastructure, networking and applications across restricted, disconnected or on-premise environments.
Advise customer engineers and operators technically.
Incorporate customer feedback into the product.
Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25%–75% of the time.

Requirements

Strong engineering background in computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics or an equally technical field
Hands-on Palantir Foundry experience, including pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories, Workbooks and application development
Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, Bash or Go
Three or more years of professional software or forward-deployed/solutions engineering experience shipping systems into production
Ability to learn unfamiliar platform architectures and data models quickly
Experience with Docker or Podman containers and Kubernetes or OpenShift orchestration

Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Active NATO clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities
Right to work in the EU, or UK-based eligibility
Nice to have: experience in classified, air-gapped or disconnected environments
Nice to have: defence, intelligence, national-security or emergency-management background
Nice to have: geospatial platforms such as Esri or ArcGIS, common-operating-picture tooling, or command-and-control systems
Nice to have: front-end frameworks and data-rich operator applications
Nice to have: familiarity with NATO and national defence accreditation and compliance
Nice to have: a second European language
