Altia is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to join our IT Consulting team and lead the design of complex, enterprise systems for a major European agency. You will shape the architecture, guide technical decisions, and mentor a multicultural delivery team on international projects.

The role requires senior expertise in solution architecture, integration patterns, and modern platforms, with fluent English and working knowledge of French.

The project

Join an international project for a major European agency, contributing to the design and architecture of complex, modern enterprise systems.

Requirements

• University degree at EQF Level 7 + a minimum of 15 years of professional IT experience; or EQF Level 6 + a minimum of 17 years; or secondary education giving access to higher education + a minimum of 22 years of professional IT experience.
• English: C1 level or above; French: B1 level or above, both spoken and written.
• Experience in EU Cohesion Policy and Structural Funds, supporting the design, implementation, and monitoring of digital solutions for EU-funded programmes.
• Experience in Solution Architecture & Design, Requirements Analysis & Business Analysis, enterprise collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Confluence, M365), technical leadership/mentoring, development of collaboration tools and platforms, and technical training/coaching.
• 5 years of experience in System Integration & Interface Design and Information Architecture.

Nice to Have

• End-to-end architecture, integration and event-driven patterns (EIP), data flows, and API standards: REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI, and AsyncAPI.
• Microservices architecture, enterprise applications, middleware, databases, and data modelling.
• DevSecOps and CI/CD: GitLab, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps; programming skills in Java and Python.
• Containers and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Observability and resilience: logging, metrics, tracing, circuit breakers, and retries.
• Security architecture: identity management, secrets management, encryption, and threat modelling; knowledge of ISO 27001, OWASP, and Zero Trust principles.
• Ability to translate technical architecture into business language, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and lead multicultural teams.
