Role

We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer specialized in Data Warehouse architecture, relational database design, Oracle, advanced PL/SQL, and data modelling, with strong experience in designing, optimising, and maintaining complex enterprise data environments.

The project

You will contribute to the design, architecture, optimisation, and maintenance of enterprise Data Warehouse and complex relational database environments within an international project supporting European institutions and agencies.

• Data Warehouse Architecture: Design and evolve scalable Data Warehouse architectures and enterprise data storage solutions, ensuring robustness, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
• Database Engineering: Design, develop, optimise, and maintain complex Oracle databases, ensuring high performance, availability, and data integrity.
• Advanced SQL Procedural Development: Develop sophisticated PL/SQL routines, including advanced cursors, dynamic triggers, exception handling, stored procedures, functions, and other database programming components.
• Data Modelling: Design and maintain logical and physical data models, using Enterprise Architect to ensure consistency between business requirements and technical database structures.
• Performance & Optimisation: Analyse and optimise database performance, query execution, data structures, and processing routines across large-scale enterprise environments.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance on the corporate data layer, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistent architecture, scalability, and quality throughout the data lifecycle.
