Job summary

Optiwisers in Brussels is seeking an experienced Senior UX Researcher to lead end-to-end UX research across customer portals, developer platforms, and internal apps. You will work hybrid, with 2 onsite days per week, partnering with stakeholders, IT, and UI designers to shape engaging digital experiences.

The role emphasizes Design Thinking in Agile settings, with hands-on experience in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Formal UX qualification (Master's degree, certification, or equivalent).
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid experience with Design Thinking in Agile environments.
• Experience in Interaction Design and Information Architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end UX Research initiatives from discovery to validation.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, observations, and focus groups.
• Facilitate Design Thinking workshops, ideation sessions, and co-design activities.
• Develop personas, user journeys, experience maps, and information architecture.
• Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows using Figma.
• Analyze user behavior and website performance using Matomo and heatmaps.
• Collaborate with UI Designers, developers, and business stakeholders to improve digital experiences.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior UX Researcher to join an exciting long-term project with a leading company in the Belgian energy sector.

You will play a key role in shaping the user experience of customer portals, developer platforms, and internal applications, working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and UI Designers.

Work Model: Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week

• Lead end-to-end UX Research initiatives, from discovery to validation.
• Conduct user interviews, usability testing, surveys, observations, and focus groups.
• Facilitate Design Thinking workshops, ideation sessions, and co-design activities.
• Develop personas, user journeys, experience maps, and information architecture.
• Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows using Figma.
• Analyze user behavior and website performance using Matomo and heatmaps.
• Collaborate with UI Designers, developers, and business stakeholders to improve digital experiences.
• Solid experience in Design Thinking within Agile environments.
• Solid experience with qualitative and quantitative UX Research methodologies.
• Experience in Interaction Design and Information Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Figma, Miro, Matomo, PowerPoint, and heatmap tools.
• Proven experience facilitating workshops and co-design sessions with multiple stakeholders.
• Formal UX qualification (Master's degree, certification, or equivalent).
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• English + Dutch and/or French proficiency.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with Design Systems in Figma.
• Knowledge of Condens UX Research Repository.
• Experience with complex enterprise platforms, customer portals, or developer-facing applications.
