NATO seeks a senior SQL Server DBA to own database platforms on‑prem and in the cloud, ensuring security, high availability, and disaster recovery. You will drive the migration into Azure, set governance standards, and lead performance and root-cause analysis to keep data always accessible.

The role is fully on‑site in Belgium with hands‑on responsibilities for installation, tuning, and automation using PowerShell, T-SQL, and Python.

Qualifications

• Expert-level SQL Server administration, tuning and security.
• Deep HA/DR knowledge: Always On, clustering, replication.
• Experience migrating databases to Azure (Azure SQL DB/Managed Instance).
• Automation and scripting for DB ops with PowerShell, T-SQL, Python.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, and harden SQL Server across on‑prem and cloud.
• Engineer HA/DR, Always On, failover and backup strategies.
• Lead migration to Azure and modernisation projects.
• Automate monitoring, reporting, and data pipelines with scripts.
