NATO is seeking a senior SQL Server DBA to own and secure database platforms across on‑premises and Azure cloud environments. You will install, tune, back up and harden SQL Server, lead HA/DR implementations and manage data migrations to Azure.

This hands‑on role requires expertise in automation, scripting and security, with fluent English and strong collaboration across teams in a high‑impact setting.

Qualifications

• Expert-level SQL Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Deep HA/DR experience with Always On, clustering and replication.
• Cloud DB experience, Azure preferred; familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, upgrade, back up and harden SQL Server across on-prem and cloud.
• Engineer high availability and disaster recovery, Always On, failover clustering, replication.
• Lead database migration and modernisation into Azure (Azure SQL DB, Managed Instance).
• Automate administration, monitoring and reporting with PowerShell, T-SQL and Python.
• Design data pipelines and integration across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Own performance, capacity and security, and the root‑cause analysis when it matters.
