NATO is seeking a senior SQL Server DBA to own on‑prem and cloud database platforms, ensuring they are highly available, secure and well‑governed. You’ll drive migration into Azure, set standards, and perform root‑cause analysis when issues arise.

You’ll automate administration and monitoring, design cross‑DB pipelines, and maintain strong security practices, with fluent English and active NATO clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Expert-level SQL Server administration, tuning and troubleshooting.
• Deep HA/DR experience: Always On, failover clustering, replication.
• Cloud DB experience, preferably Azure; PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB.
• Automation and scripting in PowerShell, T-SQL and Python; IaC/CI/CD.
• Strong security practices: access control, encryption, auditing, vulnerability mgmt.
• Fluent English in professional settings.
• Active NATO Secret clearance or eligibility.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, upgrade, backup and harden SQL Server on‑prem and in cloud.
• Engineer high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Lead database migration and modernization into Azure.
• Automate admin tasks, monitoring and reporting with PowerShell, T‑SQL and Python.
• Design data pipelines across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB.
• Own performance, capacity planning and security; perform root‑cause analysis.
