WorkMotion is a fully remote, globally distributed company empowering teams to hire, onboard, and manage talent across borders. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to our Talent Operations platform, mainly on backend services with occasional frontend work.

You’ll influence architecture, drive scalable solutions, and collaborate with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus and frontend exposure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, Microservices, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.
• Experience designing scalable systems and distributed architectures.
• Daily experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), software engineering best practices, and clean code principles.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services while contributing to frontend features where required.
• Build high-quality, well-tested software following modern engineering and DevOps best practices.
• Contribute to architecture, system design, and technical decision-making across the platform.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
• Review code, mentor teammates, and continuously improve engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
