Spring Professional Belgium seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design and deliver customer-facing digital communication solutions for strategic clients across Europe. This role is a hybrid, advisory-focused position that blends architecture work with client-facing engagements.

You will translate requirements into technical solutions, guide best practices, and shape future-state processes while coordinating with internal and external partners across EMEA.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant experience in software engineering, solution design, or digital transformation.
• Familiarity with document composition tools, CCM platforms, and automated workflow engines.
• Strong client-facing skills including active listening and technical clarity.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an asset.

Senior Software Engineer | Customer-Facing Solution Architect

Location: Zaventem, Belgium | Hybrid – On-site, Remote & Home-based

Salary Range: €53,000 – €71,000 (Mid-Salary) | EUR | Belgium

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the design and delivery of customer-facing digital communication solutions for strategic enterprise clients across Europe. This is not a pure development role. You will act as a trusted advisor within client engagements, shaping document workflows, outbound messaging strategies and platform architecture decisions that align with business outcomes.

You’ll work directly with internal stakeholders in EMEA and external partners to translate high-level requirements into technical solutions while maintaining alignment between customer expectations and product capabilities. Your responsibilities include advising on current best practices, proposing future-state process improvements, participating in cross-functional discussions, and representing the organization at key planning sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on digital communication platforms including document composition, workflow routing, and content management strategies
• Design scalable and maintainable document workflows that support evolving business needs
• Represent technical capabilities during customer meetings and strategic workshops
• Collaborate with internal delivery teams to ensure timely execution of solution roadmaps
• Translate non-technical requirements into viable architectural options and implementation plans

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant experience in software engineering, solution design, workflow architecture, or digital transformation
• Demonstrated familiarity with document composition tools, customer communication management (CCM) platforms, and automated process engines
• Strong client-facing skills including active listening, influence and technical clarity
• Fluent in Dutch and English, knowledge of French is an asset
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Belgium as required

This role operates on a hybrid schedule with time distributed across the customer site, Zaventem office and remote home work. It offers visibility into strategic client engagements and direct impact on shaping next-generation digital services offerings.
