Job summary

SEIDOR in Brussels is seeking a Release Manager to coordinate and govern end-to-end release cycles in a hybrid work setup. You’ll align with Change and Deployment Management, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure regulatory traceability and audit readiness.

The role requires extensive experience across software lifecycles, CI/CD toolchains, Oracle WebLogic, and monitoring platforms, with a focus on risk mitigation and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (EQF Level 7): min 15 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree: min 17 years of experience.
• Experience with software development lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, DevSecOps or equivalent) and their impact on release planning.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or equivalent.
• 10 years of experience using CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or equivalent) for automated builds and deployments.
• 10 years of experience using version control systems (Git, SVN) and continuous integration toolchains (Bamboo, Jenkins or equivalent).
• 7 years of experience using monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana or equivalent) to validate release stability post-deployment.
• 3 years of experience in Oracle WebLogic (14 or newer).

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate release schedules and activities; maintain enterprise release calendar; manage dependencies.
• Oversee end-to-end release process; ensure alignment with Change/Deployment Management processes.
• Collaborate with development, testing, operations, and business teams for readiness across release pipeline.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, release criteria, and regulatory/audit requirements.
• Identify, mitigate, document release risks; define rollback and recovery procedures.
• Document release plans, processes, contingency strategies, and post-release reports.
• Conduct structured release readiness reviews and go/no-go meetings; validate tests and risk assessments.
• Monitor release progress; track metrics; integrate with CI/CD pipelines and dashboards.
• Communicate release status, risks, and post-release outcomes to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve release management processes; incorporate lessons learned and automation.
• Oversee post-release hypercare for stability and handover to operations.
