Job summary

Qumulo is seeking a Senior Presales Systems Engineer for Belgium to architect AI and HPC scale-outs, solve hybrid-cloud and edge challenges, and partner with sales to progress opportunities. You’ll lead PoCs, work with OEMs, and influence regional strategy while explaining complex storage concepts to executives.

You will travel up to 30% regionally and leverage an uncapped compensation plan. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with deep storage and cloud experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in presales systems engineering, including 3+ years focused on unstructured data, file and object storage.
• Excellent knowledge of Windows, Linux and Unix/BSD, and file/object protocols (NFS, SMB, S3).
• Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud architect certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to design and deliver unstructured data solutions tailored to local enterprise needs.
• Work independently and with OEM storage specialists to qualify and advance opportunities across Belgium.
• Lead technical deep-dives, whiteboard sessions and solution designs including cross-border replication, hybrid-cloud bursting, and multi-protocol file access.
• Run Proof of Concept deployments on-premises and in the public cloud to demonstrate performance and flexibility.
• Create technical proposals and RFP responses covering architecture, data protection, and performance at scale.
• Drive whitespace reviews, account mapping, and business planning to sharpen regional forecast accuracy.
• Track regional trends and contribute to case studies and technical content.
