Tractebel Engineering seeks a skilled engineer to perform licensing studies and complex thermalhydraulic analyses for nuclear reactor systems, using industry tools such as RELAP5, ATHLET or CATHARE.

You will join a team of about 20 engineers in the Nuclear and Industrial Safety department, collaborating with customers and Safety Authorities, and benefiting from a hybrid work setup and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master in Engineering or Physics is required.
• Minimum 5 years in analysing Design Base Accidents and familiarity with international codes and standards.
• Knowledge of the Belgian nuclear domain.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch.
• Interest in becoming a high‑level expert in this topic.
• Knowledge of task automation through scripts (e.g., Python) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform Licensing Studies.
• Conduct complex thermalhydraulic analyses for nuclear reactor systems using standard tools (RELAP5, ATHLET, CATHARE or equivalent).
• Defend work to customers and Safety Authorities.
• Write technical reports on the studies performed.
• Work in a team of about 20 engineers with close interaction with colleagues.
