ENGIE Group's Tractebel unit is recruiting for a civil/industrial engineer or physicist focused on Core & Fuel studies, safety evaluation, and multiphysics. The role blends core physics, fuel safety, and reactor physics with opportunities to contribute to R&D and tender activities.

Hybrid work arrangements are available, with a chance to grow within ENGIE while collaborating with global experts. International projects and a sustainability focus are central to the team.

Qualifications

• Civil or industrial engineer degree, or B.Sc. in physics.
• 5–10 years of experience in nuclear fuel and core physics.
• Interest in widening technical competences across core physics disciplines.
• Proficiency in IT, especially Python; willing to learn quickly.
• Expertise in SMRs, Gen 4 reactors, fast reactors is an asset.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch, with good knowledge of the other.
• Self-verification with a rigorous mind and delivering quality within tight schedules.
• Good listener, dynamic and team-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Engineering studies in core and fuel physics using industry-standard methods and simulation tools.
• Provide expertise and participate in developments of core physics activities in fuel behaviour, core neutronics and/or thermal-hydraulics, including multiphysics approaches.
• Participate in R&D projects related to Core Physics applications.
• Write engineering and synthesis reports of analyses.
• Ensure technical coordination across areas of expertise and contribute to calls for tenders and business growth.
• Provide training on various areas of expertise.
• Regularly report to the Group Manager on all aspects of the relevant domain.
