Qualifications

• Active NATO SECRET security clearance.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with at least one DB technology (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• 2+ years experience in the second DB technology (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• MySQL architecture, InnoDB, backup tools like mysqldump, MySQL shell, Percona, XtraBackup.
• PostgreSQL internals, large datasets, autovacuum and index maintenance; WAL/archiving.
• SQL optimization, indexing and query execution plans.
• Strong Linux administration for database performance.
• Automation mindset: Bash/Python/Perl scripting.
• Security best practices: TLS, privilege management, audit/logging.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, maintain and upgrade PostgreSQL 12+ and MySQL 8.0+ clusters.
• Perform routine maintenance including schema housekeeping and statistics updates.
• Manage users, roles, privileges, and authentication per least-privilege rules.
• Forecast storage growth and partitioning/archiving recommendations.
• Troubleshoot production issues: data corruption, replication, performance.
• Coordinate with application and infra teams; ensure environment consistency DEV/UAT/PROD.
• Perform RCA for critical incidents; implement backup/recovery strategies.
