Spektrum seeks an experienced Database Administrator to install, configure, monitor, and optimize MySQL and PostgreSQL environments. You will implement backups, replication, and high-availability strategies while ensuring security and compliance.

The role is based on-site in Brussels, supporting NATO NCIA-related projects with a strong emphasis on performance and reliability. Candidates should demonstrate hands-on experience with backup tooling, WAL archiving, and containerized deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on database experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Strong Linux administration and system resource management
• Experience with backup/restore, replication, and disaster recovery
• Familiarity with security best practices, TLS and audit/logging
• Automation and scripting in Bash/Python/Perl

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, and maintain standalone and clustered database instances
• Monitor health, performance, and capacity; optimise queries and indexes
• Manage backups, recovery, and point-in-time restore across DB platforms
• Maintain high availability with replication, failover, and runbooks
• Ensure security, access control, and compliant logging
