Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a results-driven manager to lead a geospatial information and asset management systems team in Brussels. You will drive the optimization of applications for work management and network planning, while improving tools that boost operational efficiency and customer experience.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team of analysts, developers, and project managers, ensuring platform maintenance, integration with workforce tools, and ongoing ITIL-aligned operations.

Qualifications

• GIS and asset management expertise required.
• Experience leading IT delivery teams of 8+ FTE.
• Bachelor's in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
• Fluent in French.
• ITIL knowledge and daily ICT operations experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, a leading organization in the utility sector, is seeking a results-driven manager to lead their geospatial information and asset management systems team. The role focuses on optimizing applications for work management and network planning while ensuring the continuous improvement of tools supporting operational efficiency.

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of analysts, developers, and project managers.
• Manage the maintenance and evolution of geospatial and asset management platforms across various energy domains.
• Coordinate the daily operational management and service delivery of the IT organization.
• Oversee the integration of GIS systems with workforce management and distribution tools.
• Drive continuous improvement in methodologies and tools supporting operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Supervise a team of at least 8 FTEs to ensure successful project execution and system reliability.

• 8+ years of experience with GIS and asset management systems.
• 5+ years of experience in IT management and leading IT delivery teams of at least 8 FTE.
• 5+ years of experience in Project Management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ITIL processes.
• Proven experience in the daily operational management of an ICT organization.
• You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
• You are fluent in French.

Nice to Haves

• Master’s degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
• Practical experience within the utilities sector.
