Job summary

TiTANS België seeks a seasoned Team Manager IT GIS AD interim (Senior) to spearhead the GIS team within the Works, GIS & Customer unit in Belgium. You will steer a ten-strong mix of analysts, developers, PMs and a technical architect, aligning priorities with workload and coaching team members for growth.

You will own the GIS project portfolio, collaborate with business and architecture teams to shape a shared GIS vision, and ensure projects stay on scope, budget and schedule while operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Science, or Computer Science.
• Fluent in French.
• Proven experience as an IT Manager / coordinating an IT team (5 years).
• Proven experience leading an IT delivery team.
• Proven experience leading at least 8 FTE.
• Proven experience with ITIL.
• Master degree in Economics, Industrial Engineering, Science, or Computer Science (preferred).
• Proven experience in daily operational management of an ICT organization and in leading team members (preferred).
• Proven experience in the utilities sector (preferred).
• Proven experience with GIS (preferred).
• Proven experience with Hexagon Networks technology (nice to have).

Responsibilities

Functie: Team Manager IT GIS AD interim (Senior)

Within Digital Business Solutions (IT), the Works, GIS & Customer (WGC) Unit is responsible for optimizing the processes and applications related to work management, asset management, network planning, and customer relationship management. The unit plays a key role in the continuous improvement of tools and methodologies that support both operational efficiency and customer experience.

The GIS Team, part of the WGC Unit, is responsible for the maintenance and further development of the organization’s GIS and Asset Management systems. The team consists of analysts, developers, and project managers who support various business teams, both in the office and in the field, in the efficient use of these systems.

Within the organization, the GIS system serves as the central platform for Asset Data Management, managing assets and networks across the different energy domains, including electricity, gas, public lighting, and fiber optics. Through a range of GIS applications, both desktop and web-based, users can access, update, and manage asset and network data. Over the years, the GIS platform has also been integrated with other core systems, such as the Workforce Management System, the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), and our smart lighting management application.

To support these ambitions, we are looking for a driven and experienced Team Manager ad-interim to lead and further develop this team.

• Proven experience in leading an IT delivery team.

Context

As Team Manager GIS, you are responsible for the following:

• You lead a team of approximately ten employees, including application analysts, developers, project leaders and a technical architect.
• You are responsible for prioritizing the team's activities and ensuring that resources are aligned with the workload.
• You keep the team aligned, engaged and motivated.
• You support the individual development of team members through effective coaching.
• You manage the portfolio of projects related to the organization’s GIS strategy.
• You collaborate with the business and architecture teams to define and promote a shared vision for the evolution of the domain.
• You are accountable for delivering projects within your domain according to the agreed scope, budget, and timeline.
• Your team is responsible for the corrective and evolutionary maintenance of the applications within your domain, as well as user support.
• You organize the handling of incidents and user change requests in the most effective way, in accordance with departmental processes and defined SLAs.
• You organize the monitoring of the applications within your domain and proactively ensure their stable and efficient operation.
• You manage the budgets required for the execution of your teams’ activities.
• You drive the continuous improvement of your team’s activities.
• You are a member of the DBS management team and report to the Head of the “Works, GIS and Customer” department.
