Yechte is seeking an experienced Laboratory IT Support professional to provide first-line and advanced IT assistance for lab systems, workstations, and instruments. You will troubleshoot diverse issues, coordinate with global teams, and support new IT solutions while maintaining security and compliance.

The role emphasizes onsite lab support, collaboration with vendors, and continuous service improvement in a regulated environment. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Job Responsibilities

Laboratory IT Support

• Provide first-line and advanced technical support for laboratory IT systems, workstations, instruments, and associated infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and network-related issues in laboratory environments.
• Ensure high system availability and minimal disruption to laboratory operations.
• Coordinate with global support teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues.

Project Delivery and Implementation

• Participate in the planning, deployment, and support of new Lab IT solutions and infrastructure projects.
• Support technology refresh initiatives, system upgrades, and migrations.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines, quality standards, and business requirements.
• Assist in validating and implementing new technologies that improve laboratory productivity and efficiency.

Security and Compliance

• Apply corporate cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices within laboratory environments.
• Ensure systems comply with relevant security, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Support vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security incident response activities.
• Participate in audits and compliance assessments where required.

Customer and Stakeholder Engagement

• Build strong relationships with laboratory users and business stakeholders.
• Translate business and laboratory requirements into effective IT solutions.
• Provide professional communication and regular status updates to customers and project teams.
• Promote continuous improvement and a customer-first support culture.

Must Have Skills

• Proven experience in IT support or system administration roles.
• Experience participating in technical projects and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong customer-service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide hands-on onsite support in laboratory and operational environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems.
• Strong experience with Linux operating systems.
• Good knowledge of Windows Server.
• Good knowledge of Linux server environments.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching concepts.
• Experience with endpoint management and software deployment.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and identity management.
• Experience with hardware troubleshooting and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of corporate security frameworks and standards.
• Knowledge of endpoint security solutions.
• Understanding of vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of patch management processes.
• Understanding of security incident-handling principles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
• Fluent in Dutch, both spoken and written.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

• Experience supporting scientific, laboratory, manufacturing, or other regulated environments.
• Experience supporting laboratory instruments and associated IT infrastructure.
