Job summary

Designer Group in Belgium is seeking an experienced Contracts / Project Manager – HV Substations to join our Operations team. You will lead HV Substation and grid infrastructure projects through pre-construction, design, construction, energisation, and handover, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of delivering HV Substation/Power Infrastructure projects.
• Experience with HV systems 110kV–380kV desirable.
• Strong contract form knowledge (NEC/FIDIC or equivalent).
• Valid driving licence and right to work in Belgium.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV Substation and Grid Infrastructure project delivery from pre-construction to energisation and handover.
• Manage contractual, commercial, operational, and technical aspects of projects.
• Support tender reviews, estimates, risk assessments, and bid submissions.
• Coordinate design development, technical reviews, and value engineering initiatives.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and cost reporting with the Project Quantity Surveyor.
• Oversee procurement including major equipment packages and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with Belgian regulations and client specifications.
• Lead project teams including site managers, engineers, planners, and commercial staff.
• Monitor progress, milestones, programme delivery, RFIs, submittals, and changes.
• Chair progress meetings with clients, utilities, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure safe execution in line with DG’s Health & Safety Management System.
