Datashift is seeking a Senior Functional Data Analyst to drive data initiatives across diverse client projects. You will translate business needs into data product requirements, collaborate with engineers, scientists, and insights analysts, and manage data contracts to ensure data quality and discoverability.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role (e.g. data analyst, data product owner, …);
• Experienced in data analysis & interpretation (e.g. SQL/Python, familiar with BI tooling, …);
• Strong problem-solving skills and value-driven mindset to optimize cost-benefit balance of proposed data solutions;
• Effective stakeholder management: communicate seamlessly with both technical and non-technical audiences;
• Quick learner and pragmatic solution thinker: quickly grasp the business context, processes, and challenges, and effectively translate them into the right data product requirements;
• First experience in data management: data catalog mgt, data modelling, data quality assessments, source to target analysis, data contracts, etc.;
• Ability to understand the end-to-end (data) flow from source data to target data product, with the capacity to zoom in on granular details and zoom out to see the bigger picture;
• Experience working Agile methodologies (e.g., scrum, kanban), Agile tooling (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps) and documentation tooling (e.g. Confluence);
• Experience with data cataloging tooling (e.g. Collibra, Datahub) is a plus;
• Fluent in English, and preferably also Dutch.

Responsabilités

Join our dynamic data consulting team as a Senior Functional Data Analyst, where you will manage data needs for our clients across various industries. This role acts as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring mutual understanding. The senior functional data analyst plays a critical role in ensuring that the right data projects are deployed and that data products are reliable, discoverable, and business-driven.

Key Responsibilities
