Are you passionate about turning complex data challenges into clear, reliable and usable information? For one of our clients, we are looking for a Data Governance & Quality Analyst to join a growing Data Office and help shape how data is defined, governed and trusted across the organisation.
You will play a visible role between business and data teams, working with key stakeholders to improve data quality, strengthen ownership and create alignment around critical business concepts. It is a role with real impact, combining analysis, governance and stakeholder management.
Your responsibilities
- Further develop and improve Data Governance standards and practices.
- Structure and maintain business glossaries, business rules and metadata.
- Support Data Owners and Data Stewards in clarifying and aligning business concepts.
- Facilitate alignment across teams to ensure consistent data definitions and usage.
- Define and improve Data Quality rules and controls.
- Analyse data quality issues and identify root causes across processes, business rules and technical implementation.
- Monitor data quality indicators and translate findings into concrete improvement actions.
- Collaborate with BI, Data Delivery and Advanced Analytics teams to align business concepts with their technical implementation.
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data, IT, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
- minimum of 3 years experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Management or a related domain.
- Good understanding of data governance concepts such as ownership, metadata, business glossaries and data definitions.
- Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of data flows and transformations.
- Experience working with business stakeholders and facilitating alignment across different teams.
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear, pragmatic solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SQL is an asset.
- Experience in insurance or financial services is an asset.
- Knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
