Datashift is seeking a Data Insights Analyst to bridge business and technology, turning data into actionable insights with Power BI and Tableau. You will gather requirements, document user stories and use cases, and coach junior colleagues.

Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with a hands-on SQL and data visualization background. You will work with clients to translate strategic goals into data roadmaps, advise on data departments, and help drive a data-driven culture across engagements.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL understanding and willingness to learn new technical skills.

To further grow our Modern Data Platform Practice, we are currently looking for a skilled Data Insights Analyst.

Do you have a first experience with functional analysis, gathering business requirements and visualizing data using Power BI? You want to further develop your abilities & knowledge by working together with highly skilled, helpful and fun colleagues? You are not afraid to be challenged intellectually and personally?

Your responsibilities

• Support clients in their journey towards a data driven way of working by bridging the gap between business and technology;
• You’ll gather business requirements and document these in user stories and business use cases;
• Tackle business requirements by helping business users get the right insights out of data;
• Able to understand the strategic goals of our clients, pinpoint the value of data and understand + communicate the role and value of data in this regard;
• Translate the above in a clear well defined roadmap and understand which approach to use when (pilots and proofs of concept roadmap);
• Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure the successful implementation of the solution, in line with the expectations of business stakeholders;
• You are responsible for the overall quality of delivery and, later on, for coaching your more junior colleagues;
• Participate in advisory of clients on the set-up of data departments and teams (incl. defining roles and responsibilities).
• You have a first of experience with functional- and/or business analysis;
• You are fluent in speaking both Dutch and English;
• You have experience gathering business requirements;
• You like to interact with and guide businesspeople towards a solution generating business impact;
• You have a thorough understanding of SQL, and a hunger to discover and develop new technical skills;
• You have hands on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau,...
• You have an analytical mindset, good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment;
