Prothya Biosolutions Belgium is seeking a Senior Engineering Supervisor to lead the successful delivery of complex industrial projects. You will design systems aligned with internal customer needs (URS), perform load calculations and hydraulic analyses, and oversee RFQ/Tendering, scheduling and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Master in engineering technology (ING) or Master of engineering science (IR) or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in the construction, management, and optimization of technical systems within industrial projects (experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus).
• Knowledge of current standards and technologies required within industrial sector.

Responsabilités

• Lead Projects: design focusing on internal customer’s needs (URS, load calculation, hydraulic analysis).
• Lead RFQ issuance & Tendering, Scheduling & Budgeting.
• Oversee construction works & commissioning/qualification of projects.
• Ensure compliance with project objectives and site specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on site with a safety mindset.
• Report deviations to management promptly.
• Prepare a complete as-built file.
• Handover installed systems and train the operational department.
• Develop SOPs and workplace inspections to support operational excellence.

Reports to job title:Supervisor Engineering

Purpose of the job

You are responsible for the successful implementation of projects. You can act also as a technical system owner of several technical systems.

Accountabilities Key activity

1.Projects:

• You are responsible for the design focusing on internal customer’s needs (URS, load calculation, hydraulic analysis,…).
• You are responsible for the preparation phase (RFQ issuing & Tendering, Scheduling & Budgeting).
• You are responsible for the execution (Construction works & commissioning/qualification) of projects.
• you are responsible for complying with project objectives and site specifications and requirements.
• During execution works phase you ensure construction follow up with sub-contractors on site with an safety mindset.
• You report any deviation to the management team in a timely manner.
• You are responsable to prepare a complete as-built file.
• You are responsible for the handover of the installed system and the training of the operational department.

2.Operational support:

• You develop expertise on the systems you work on, so that you can stay responsible of their design along the whole lifetime of the equipment, and support operations in case of issues.
• You execute additional tasks (development of SOPs, work place inspections,…) to support operational excellence.
• You could potentially play a role in a voluntary guard system.

• Lead cross-departmental project teams
• Ensures a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
• Ensures collaboration within the team and other departments

Stakeholder Management (example)

• You are able to coordinate/align with your internal stakeholders (other departments in project team).
• You are able to coordinate/align with your external stakeholders (suppliers).

Education, experience and skills

Master in engineering technology (ING) or Master of engineering science (IR) or equivalent

5 years of experience in the construction, management, and optimization of technical systems within industrial projects (experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus)

Skills

• Knowledge of current standards and technologies required within industrial sector
• Experience in piping load calculation & hydraulic analysis is an asset
• Knowledge of Pressure Equipment Directive – 2014/68/UE is an asset
• Knowledgeable about an application domain (equipment, utilities, electricity, automation, OT, cleaning, CQV, GEP, …)
• Knowledge of project management systems and tools (eg MS Office, MS Project)
• Knowledge of cGMP procedures and EMA/FDA requirements is an asset
• Strong planning, communications and organizational skills
• Professional approach with strong focus on safety & quality
• Team player and customer focus
• Agility to define priorities
