At Prothya, we are dedicated to improving lives by developing and manufacturing plasma-derived medicinal products. To support our continued growth and ambitious capital investment roadmap, we are looking for a Senior Engineer Projects to join our Engineering team.

In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept to implementation while ensuring compliance, safety, quality, budget, and timeline objectives. You will also have the opportunity to act as Technical System Owner for key plant systems and contribute to the operational excellence of our manufacturing site.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage technical projects from design through commissioning and qualification.
• Develop engineering solutions based on user and business requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications, manage RFQs and tendering activities.
• Coordinate construction activities and contractor management on site.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, GMP requirements, safety regulations, and site procedures.
• Control project scope, budget, planning, risks, and deliverables.
• Ensure successful handover, documentation, and training of operational teams.

Technical Expertise & Operational Support

• Act as subject matter expert and Technical System Owner for assigned systems.
• Support troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, and system lifecycle management.
• Contribute to SOP development, inspections, and operational excellence programs.
• Participate in on-call support when required.
• Lead cross-functional project teams.
• Build strong partnerships with Operations, Quality, Validation, Maintenance, and external contractors.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and support junior engineers.

What You Bring

• Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial Engineer, Civil Engineer, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing industrial engineering projects
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, food, chemical, or other regulated industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and engineering standards
• Experience with utilities, process equipment, HVAC, automation, electrical systems, CQV, or related technical domains
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.
