Sopra Steria is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead mid- to large-scale digitalisation programs for Belgian public sector clients from end to end. You will drive delivery, governance, and presales, coordinating cross‑functional teams and external vendors to meet ambitious timelines and budgets.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of PM experience (5+ in public sector digitalisation), strong Belgian sector knowledge, and PRINCE2/PMP certification with proficiency in Dutch or French and English.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in project management (5+ in public sector digitalisation).
• Proven delivery of €1M+ projects and teams of 10+.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian public sector (federal/regional).
• Certified in PRINCE2 and/or PMP; Agile experience preferred.
• Experience with public tenders and procurement law.
• Financial/project P&L management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of digital/IT transformation projects (€500K–€10M+).
• Manage scope, budget, timeline, quality, risks, and resources.
• Apply methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile/Scrum, or SAFe.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and vendors.
• Report to executive stakeholders and lead governance bodies.
• Build and manage relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• Navigate complex public sector governance structures.
• Handle escalations, risks, and contract compliance.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Contribute to public tenders, proposals, and negotiations.
• Support account growth and pipeline forecasting.
• Manage risks, change requests, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Contribute to internal best practices and thought leadership.
