Job summary

Bimona is seeking a Senior Data & Solution Architect to guide the architecture of a modernisation programme in the Belgian energy sector, Brussels-based with remote on-site mix. The role demands 5+ years as a data architect, knowledge of Azure cloud-native solutions, and strong governance and security experience.

Dutch or French at CEFR C1 and very good English are required. The assignment is time & material, start December 2026, with end around December 2028 and potential extension.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as data architect on multiple projects with complex data architecture issues.
• Proven experience in the Belgian energy sector: 3 years (medior).
• Experience translating conceptual information models into logical data models.
• Experience administering Azure DevOps: 5 years (senior).
• Experience with complex enterprise data models.
• Experience writing SQL queries: 5 years (senior).
• Experience with microservice architecture.
• Experience defining a test strategy.
• Dutch or French at CEFR level C1.
• Very good English (CEFR C1).

• Develop and safeguard the data and solution architecture within the modernisation programme.
• Analyse the current application and data architecture and define future architecture goals.
• Design scalable, secure and maintainable cloud-native solutions on Azure.
• Advise development teams and stakeholders on architecture guidelines, best practices and technical choices.
• Ensure integration between existing systems and the new architecture components.
• Support governance, security and compliance requirements within the architecture domain.
• Contribute actively to technical decisions and the roadmap.
• Manage and support the Azure DevOps environment.

Senior Data & Solution Architect for the modernisation of a central market platform at an organisation in the Belgian energy sector in Brussels. Time & material, start December 2026. Dutch or French (C1) required.

Description

We are looking for a Senior Data & Solution Architect to guide the architecture of a modernisation programme at an organisation in the Belgian energy sector, based in Brussels. The platform supports data exchange between energy market parties. The assignment is time & material and starts preferably on 2 December 2026. You have at least 5 years of experience as a data architect, you know the Belgian energy sector, and you speak Dutch or French at C1 level.

You combine insight into existing enterprise and data platform architectures with experience in cloud-native solutions in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Besides the architecture work, you take care of the Azure DevOps environment.
