Job summary

Pauwels Consulting is seeking a senior Data Architect to lead the architectural modernization of a central data platform in Brussels. You will guide the transition to cloud-native solutions within Azure, ensure integration with legacy systems, and align with enterprise architecture standards.

You will mentor development teams and stakeholders, define future-state goals, and shape a robust test strategy, governance, and security posture across the data and solution architecture domains.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and complex enterprise data modeling.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure DevOps administration and management.
• 5+ years of experience writing SQL queries for data analysis.
• 3+ years of experience within the Belgian energy sector.
• Experience designing microservices and cloud-native architecture.
• Ability to translate conceptual information models into logical data models.
• Experience defining and implementing a technical test strategy.
• Fluent in English with C1 level proficiency in Dutch or French.
