Job summary

ITS Group S.A. is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead the data and solution architecture for a modernization program in the Belgian energy sector. You will shape a modern, scalable cloud-native environment on Microsoft Azure and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

You will guide governance, security and compliance, define architectural guidelines, and support technical decision-making and roadmaps across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect across multiple projects with complex data architecture challenges.
• At least 3 years of experience in the Belgian energy sector.
• Experience translating conceptual information models into logical data models.
• Experience with complex enterprise data models.

The consultant will play a key role in defining and guiding the target data architecture towards a modern, scalable and future-proof environment.

Your missions:

• Define and oversee the data and solution architecture within the modernization program.
• Analyze the existing application and data architecture and define the target architecture.
• Design scalable, secure and maintainable cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Ensure integration between existing systems and new architecture components.
• Advise development teams and stakeholders on architectural guidelines, best practices and technical choices.
• Support governance, security and compliance requirements.
• Contribute to technical decision-making and roadmap definition.
• Manage and support the Azure DevOps environment.

Your activities:

• Design and evolve complex data architectures.
• Work with complex enterprise data models.
• Translate conceptual information models into logical data models.
• Analyze existing application and data architectures.
• Work with microservice architectures.
• Integrate existing systems with new architecture components.
• Develop and define test strategies.
• Provide architectural guidance to development teams and stakeholders.
• Define and promote architectural guidelines and best practices.
• Support architecture-related governance, security and compliance.
• Contribute to technical choices and architecture roadmap definition.
• Perform Azure DevOps administration, management and support.

You have the following skills:

Must Have

• Data Architecture: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Architect across multiple projects involving complex data architecture challenges.
• Belgian Energy Sector: Minimum 3 years of experience in the Belgian energy sector.
• Data Modelling: Experience translating conceptual information models into logical data models.
• Enterprise Data Models: Experience with complex enterprise data models.
• Azure DevOps: Minimum 5 years of experience in Azure DevOps administration.
• SQL: Minimum 5 years of experience writing SQL queries.
• Microservices: Experience with microservice architecture.
• Test Strategy: Experience in defining and developing test strategies.
• Languages: Fluent Dutch or French.

Nice to Have

• Python: Experience with Python.
• UMIG: Knowledge of UMIG 6 and UMIG DGO processes.
