Job summary

SEIDOR in Luxembourg (Remote) is seeking an Intermediate Data Engineer to build and optimize data lake/ lakehouse solutions across cloud and on-prem environments. You will develop ETL/ELT pipelines, design scalable data models, implement governance and security, and deliver dashboards with stakeholders.

You should have deep SQL, experience with Fabric/Azure Synapse/Snowflake/BigQuery, and hands-on DevOps practices. Fluency in English required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• Proficiency in English (C1).
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT tools (Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica, Talend, SAP Data Services, etc.).
• Advanced SQL expertise.
• Data Warehousing and Data Modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Data Lakes, Data Lakehouses, and Business Intelligence solutions.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Security best practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments and modern DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data integration tools.
• Design scalable data models (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) to support analytics and reporting.
• Implement data quality, governance, security, and lineage frameworks.
• Create dashboards, KPIs, and self-service BI solutions for business stakeholders.
• Optimize SQL queries, database performance, and data platform costs.
• Define and maintain CI/CD processes and Infrastructure as Code practices for BI environments.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
