Michael Page International (Belgium) seeks a Data Engineer / BI Consultant to design, develop, and optimize the data ecosystem. You will build data pipelines in Snowflake, leverage SQL and Linux/Bash for data integration, and contribute to a Data Mesh approach across a multinational environment.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across countries, translate requirements into scalable data solutions, and help improve reporting, analytics, and data governance within cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, BI, or data warehousing.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience at an intermediate level.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Linux/Bash, and Data Factory.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in an international setting.

Job Description

As a Data Engineer / BI Consultant, you will contribute to the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's data ecosystem.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines within a Snowflake environment.
• Working with SQL and Linux/Bash to support data integration, automation, and transformation processes.
• Implementing and maintaining solutions within a modern Data Mesh architecture combining Data Lake and Data Warehouse principles.
• Ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of data flows and reporting solutions.
• Collaborating closely with international business stakeholders located across multiple countries and time zones.
• Gathering business requirements and translating them into sustainable and efficient data solutions.
• Supporting the continuous improvement of reporting, analytics, and Business Intelligence capabilities.
• Contributing to data quality, governance, and optimization initiatives.
• Participating in ongoing projects related to cloud data platforms and digital transformation.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or a similar domain.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake at an intermediate level.
• Strong knowledge of:

  • Data Factory
• Experience working with business stakeholders and translating functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with international teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Languages:

• English is mandatory.
• French and/or Dutch are considered strong assets.
