Enzo Tech Group is seeking an experienced Freelance Data Engineer / BI Developer to design, build, and optimize our BI platform. You will work with a collaborative team to transform complex data into actionable insights across multiple domains.

The role focuses on modern Microsoft technologies, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and self-service BI. You’ll partner with business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions and continuous improvement in a dynamic, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/IT/Data Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience delivering BI or Data Engineering solutions.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and Kimball methodologies.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Platform, Azure Databricks, SQL.
• Experience with Python, notebooks, Azure services, Jira and Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) is a strong advantage.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models using dimensional modeling techniques, including star schemas.
• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports delivering insights to stakeholders.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into a reliable data warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into technical solutions.
• Support self‑service BI initiatives by assisting colleagues with Power BI reports.
• Continuously improve BI solutions by enhancing performance, data quality, security, and scalability.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes within a multidisciplinary team.

Freelance Data Engineer / BI Developer

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Data Engineer / BI Developer to support the design, development, and optimization of our business intelligence platform. You'll work alongside a collaborative team of BI professionals to build scalable data solutions that enable informed business decisions across multiple business domains.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys working with modern Microsoft technologies, transforming complex data into meaningful insights, and collaborating closely with both technical and business stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models using dimensional modeling techniques, including star schema methodologies.
• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver valuable business insights to a range of stakeholders.
• Integrate data from multiple source systems into a reliable and high‑performing data warehouse environment.
• Work closely with business analysts, controllers, and other stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into technical solutions.
• Support self‑service BI initiatives by assisting colleagues in developing and maintaining their own Power BI reports.
• Continuously improve existing BI solutions by enhancing performance, data quality, security, and scalability.
• Contribute to Agile delivery processes and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• Previous experience delivering Business Intelligence or Data Engineering solutions.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and Kimball methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with:
• Microsoft Power BI
• Azure Data Platform
• Azure Databricks
• SQL
• Experience with Python, notebooks, Azure services, Jira, and Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) is considered a strong advantage.
• A proactive problem‑solver with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams.
• Passionate about staying current with emerging technologies within the Microsoft data ecosystem.
