Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer focused on Protection to join a global payments technology environment. Based in Belgium with remote collaboration, you will design and implement scalable backend services for payment dispute management, fraud prevention, and risk automation.

You will own backend systems end-to-end, integrate with PSPs and fraud vendors, and contribute to architecture, testing, monitoring, and on-call reliability while mentoring teammates and shaping engineering

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain robust backend systems for protection, fraud prevention, and dispute workflows.
• Own backend components end-to-end including architecture, deployment, monitoring, and reliability.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to translate merchant challenges into scalable technical solutions.
• Integrate with payment service providers and third-party fraud systems, and build governance around risk signals.
