Job summary

Jobgether, a fully remote technology environment based in Belgium, seeks a Senior Manager, Application Security to lead and mature the application security function. You will shape security standards, drive vulnerability management, and embed secure practices across engineering while guiding IT and compliance teams.

You will architect an AI-first security program, balance strategic leadership with hands-on work, and report to executive leadership on security posture and risk.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in security with hands-on application security experience.
• Experience building or maturing an application security program.
• Knowledge of secure software design, OWASP, and modern web/API security.
• Ability to read code and collaborate with engineers on remediation.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• Experience leading security initiatives while remaining hands-on.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted security tools and practices.
• Strong ability to communicate security posture to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the application security roadmap, including vulnerability management and remediation processes.
• Lead security reviews, threat modeling, and scalable security processes across teams.
• Embed secure development practices throughout the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design an AI-first application security strategy and oversee automated testing.
• Partner with engineering to avoid bottlenecks while strengthening security.
• Oversee third-party and vendor security assessments and SOC 2 alignment.
• Establish zero-trust principles and manage IAM, logging, and alerting with cloud leadership.
• Lead security incident response and coordinate with IT/infrastructure teams.
