Harmoney, a fintech scale-up in Belgium, is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, and evolve cloud-native services powering our platform. You will collaborate with Product and fellow engineers, shaping scalable solutions from design through deployment.

You will contribute to secure APIs, database models, performance improvements, and AI-powered development workflows, taking ownership from day one and delivering high-quality features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building enterprise applications in Java.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Ability to own features from design to deployment.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Java.
• Develop secure REST APIs and cloud-native features.
• Translate product requirements into clean, maintainable software.
• Design and optimise database models and SQL queries.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver high-quality features.
• Leverage AI tools to improve development speed, quality, and efficiency.
• Continuously improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the platform.
