Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company in Belgium, seeks a Staff Application Security Engineer to build and scale an application security program. You will blend deep security expertise with hands-on software engineering to strengthen SDLC, drive threat modeling, and develop security tooling across APIs, SDKs, and cloud systems.

You will lead threat modeling, security reviews, and vulnerability remediation while integrating AI-powered testing and automated remediation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or security engineering with focus on application security.
• Hands-on implementation over auditing.
• Proficiency in TS/JS/Go or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design secure SDLC with threat modeling and secure code reviews.
• Own and improve SAST/DAST, SCA, secrets detection and container scanning.
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD and drive remediation SLAs.
• Develop AI-first security practices including AI-assisted triage and automated remediation.
• Lead security reviews for APIs, SDKs, and cloud systems.
• Mentor engineers and promote secure coding practices across teams.
• Collaborate with security leadership to prioritize initiatives.
