Job summary

TriFinance Belgium is assisting a client in Charleroi to recruit a Senior Accountant to support a small team of two Senior Accountants and collaborate with the controller on affiliate finance.

You will manage day-to-day accounting, bank reconciliations, VAT/intrastat/intracom, monthly/quarterly closings, and support audits and consolidation, while driving process improvements and digitalising workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting.
• Fluent in French and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations: purchase-to-pay, payroll bookings, credit card transactions and employee expense reports.
• Follow up on financial operations, including bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT, Intrastat and Intracom declarations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual closings, and statutory annual accounts.
• Support the annual audit and contribute to consolidation activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, building controls, standardising workflows and digitalising tools.
