Job summary

TriFinance Belgium in Charleroi is seeking a Finance Project Accountant to lead the quarterly and annual IFRS consolidation for all group entities, with support from external consultants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will serve as the primary contact between external auditors, IFRS advisors and the finance team, design and monitor internal controls, and drive standardization of consolidation processes across entities abroad to improve reporting quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance or audit.
• 5–8 years of experience in accounting, finance or external audit.
• Interest in working with IFRS and Be GAAP.
• Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Run the quarterly and annual IFRS consolidation for all group entities with external support.
• Operate and enhance the group consolidation tool with mappings, intercompany reconciliations, FX, eliminations, and reporting packages.
• Review accounting operations across subsidiaries by designing, rolling out and monitoring internal controls.
• Improve the quality, reliability and timeliness of group financial reporting.
• Maintain and evolve the group accounting manual and consolidation guidelines under IFRS.
• Standardise closing practices and chart-of-accounts mapping across entities for consistency.

Job description

For our client located in Charleroi, we are looking for a Finance Project Accountant. In collaboration with external consultants you will take an active role in the group consolidation. You will serve as the primary contact between external auditors, IFRS advisors and the finance team. In this role you oversee and challenge accounting operations by designing and implementing internal controls, enhancing reporting quality and driving standardization of processes across entities abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Run the quarterly and annual consolidation process under IFRS across all Group entities, with the support of external consultants
• Operate, maintain and continuously improve the Group consolidation tool: mappings, intercompany reconciliations, FX, eliminations and reporting packages
• Review and assess the accounting operations across subsidiaries by designing, rolling out and monitoring internal controls
• Improve the quality, reliability and timeliness of Group financial reporting
• Maintain and evolve the Group accounting manual and consolidation guidelines under IFRS
• Standardise closing practices and chart-of-accounts mapping across entities to ensure consistency and comparability

Requirements

• A degree in accounting, finance or audit
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in accounting, finance, external audit
• Interest to work in different accounting standards (Be Gaap, IFRS)
• Fluency in French and English, written and spoken
