HumanInTech seeks a Scrum Master with strong technical guidance for a Brussels-based public-sector digital transformation programme. The role is hybrid, combining Scrum facilitation with technical input on demand, and requires a mid-term engagement through 2027.

You will partner with a development team, Product Owner and Technical Lead, ensure agile practices, track velocity and impediments, and foster collaboration across stakeholders in French.

Qualifications

• Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years or more experience in Scrum Master roles.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• French language proficiency is required to operate in Brussels-based projects.

Responsabilités

• Organise and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
• Ensure proper application of Agile methodology and Scrum framework within the team.
• Facilitate collaboration between the team and stakeholders.
• Track and improve velocity and team performance indicators.
• Identify and remove obstacles that slow progress.
• Support Product Owner in backlog management and prioritisation.
• Develop team autonomy, accountability and collaboration.
• Promote Agile best practices in project context.
• Foster trust and respect within the team.
• Understand technical challenges and participate in technical decision-making.
• Work closely with Technical Lead and developers.
• Ensure estimations reflect technical constraints.

What you will do

You will take on a hybrid role that combines Scrum Master responsibilities with technical guidance for a development team working on a public-sector digital transformation programme. Your focus will be primarily on Scrum facilitation, with the ability to step in on technical matters when needed.

Animation and steering

• Organise and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
• Ensure proper application of Agile methodology and the Scrum framework within the team
• Facilitate collaboration between the team and stakeholders
• Track and improve velocity and team performance indicators
• Identify and remove obstacles that slow down the team's progress

Support and coaching

• Encourage and guide IT teams in adopting Agile methods and the Scrum framework
• Support the Product Owner in managing and prioritising the product backlog
• Develop team autonomy, accountability and collaboration
• Promote and adapt Agile best practices to the project context
• Foster a climate of trust and respect
• Understand technical challenges faced by the team
• Facilitate decision‑making on technical subjects
• Work closely with the Technical Lead and developers
• Ensure technical constraints are taken into account in estimations and planning

Performance and quality

• Help the team deliver quality increments that meet the definition of done
• Monitor key indicators (velocity, burndown, deliverable quality)
• Identify improvement areas and implement concrete actions
• Foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement

Communication

• Ensure transparency on project progress to management and stakeholders
• Align the team with the product vision and defined priorities
• Ensure consistency and harmonisation of practices across Scrum teams
• Share your knowledge with other Agile/Scrum teams

The setting

This is an assignment starting mid-November 2026 and running until the end of 2027. The role is based in Brussels with a hybrid working arrangement: you will be required to work on‑site at least 50% of the time.

The working language is French exclusively.

You will work closely with the development team (developers, functional analysts, testers, Technical Lead, Product Owner) and project managers, as well as other stakeholders involved in the programme.
