Job summary

Keystone Solutions is seeking a Scrum Master to join our consultancy and be assigned to a client site within the Information Technology sector.

You will set up Scrum ceremonies, coach the team, and ensure agile practices are followed while reporting to project leadership. Fluency in English plus Dutch and French is required, with 6+ years of relevant experience and a degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with good Dutch and French skills.
• Degree or equivalent experience in IT or project management.
• Minimum six years of relevant Scrum/Agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies and meetings.
• Schedule and ensure key steps of the methodology are followed.
• Ensure smooth use of Scrum and help the team overcome obstacles.
• Support the Product Owner with the Product Backlog.
• Assist the team with Definition of Done and Sprint Backlog.
• Track capacity and velocity for planning and progress.
• Coach and challenge the Project Team.
• Promote gradual self-organization and remove blockers.
• Act as ambassador of agile methods within the company.
• Provide reporting on Scrum deployment to superiors.
• Risk and issue management.
• Possibly take the role of feature delivery owner with cross-squad dependencies.

Mission Overview

The consultant will join Keystone Solutions and be assigned to a client site as a Scrum Master within the Information Technology sector. This is a consultancy mission where you will represent Keystone Solutions, delivering expertise and value to client projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up and facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Review, Sprint Planning, Retrospective) and other meetings.
• Schedule and follow the key steps of the methodology.
• Guarantee a smooth use of the Scrum methodology and help the Project Team face any obstacles.
• Provide assistance or support to the Product Owner concerning the Product Backlog.
• Assist and support the team in the delivery of the Definition of Done (DoD), Sprint Backlog, etc.
• Track team capacity and velocity metrics for planning and progress purposes.
• Coach and challenge the Project Team.
• Help the Project Team face any difficulties and promote its gradual self-organization.
• Remove barriers to team effectiveness and protect the team from outside distractions.
• Act as ambassador of agile methods within the company.
• Provide reporting to superiors on the proper deployment of the Scrum methodology within projects.
• Risk and issue management.
• Can take the role of feature delivery owner, managing features with multiple dependencies outside the squad.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Dutch and French; fluent in English.
• Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of agile reporting and follow-up tools (e.g. Jira).
• Understanding of tooling on automated unit testing, automated functional testing and continuous integration tooling.
• Sound knowledge of software development methodology (preferable on mainframe).
• Knowledge of project management methodology.
• Expert knowledge of agile methodology and techniques (e.g. Kanban).
• Investment banking knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in working with hybrid teams is a plus.
