AYES Belgium is seeking a Safety Engineer to assess technical processes, identify safety risks and define improvement measures within industrial projects. You will conduct risk analyses using methods like HAZOP, FMEA, SWIFT and MOC, and provide specialized safety guidance through project lifecycles.

The role requires an engineering degree, Dutch and English fluency, and a proactive, independent mindset with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Safety/Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil.
• Experience in Safety Engineering, Risk Management, Process Safety or similar technical environment.
• Ability to translate complex technical and safety issues into practical solutions.
• Proactive, independent with strong communication and reporting skills.

What will your role be?

Who are we looking for?

• You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Safety, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or a related technical discipline.
• You have experience in Safety Engineering, Risk Management, Process Safety or a similar technical environment, ideally within an industrial context.
• You have the ability to translate complex technical and safety issues into practical solutions.
• You are proactive, independent and comfortable taking ownership.
• You have strong communication and reporting skills.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
