AYES Belgium seeks an automation engineer to own activities across the project lifecycle, from planning to delivery. You will translate requirements into practical automation solutions, design systems, configure and integrate components, and prepare detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• You hold a degree in Automation Engineering or a related field and have between 3 and 7 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Profinet, Modbus and Industrial Ethernet.
• Knowledge of functional safety concepts (SIL), ATEX, network architecture and industrial cybersecurity.
• Independent and analytical problem-solver, able to manage complex projects and perform under pressure, especially during commissioning.
• Excellent communication with customers and international teams; fluent in English and French.

• Translate project requirements into practical automation solutions, covering system design, configuration and integration.
• Prepare and validate technical documentation, including functional specs, process diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and subcontractors, and contribute to sales proposals.
• Monitor project progress, coordinate stakeholders, and report milestones and potential issues to management.
• Promote a safe and professional working environment by respecting safety procedures and confidentiality.

What will your role be?

Who are we looking for?

• You hold a degree in Automation Engineering or a related field and have between 3 and 7years of experiencein industrial automation.
• You have hands-on experience withSiemens TIA Portal, Profinet, Modbus and Industrial Ethernet.
• You understand industrial control and instrumentation principles, including functional safety, SIL, ATEX, network architecture and industrial cybersecurity.
• You are an independent and analytical problem-solver, able to manage complex projects and perform effectively under pressure, particularly during commissioning.
• You communicate confidently with customers and international engineering teams and are fluent in English and French.
