Job summary

Remote is seeking a Payroll Data Administrator to perform entry-level payroll tasks with accuracy and timeliness. You will follow SOPs, handle data entry, validations, and documentation across pre-pay, run, and post-pay phases while learning country and systems nuances.

You will support senior colleagues, escalate issues early, and contribute to a reliable team. English fluency is required, with French/Dutch a plus, and a fully remote global role.

Qualifications

• Understanding of payroll fundamentals, SOPs, and data privacy requirements.
• Understanding of statutory settings, earnings and deductions, and banking validations.
• Able to execute routine data entry and validations accurately and on time.
• Competent in Google Sheets or Excel with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborative communicator who escalates exceptions early.
• Friendly with AI-assisted workflows and new tools as they’re introduced.
• Fluent in English; French and/or Dutch a plus.
• Aligned with Remote values and asynchronous ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Execution & Data Integrity across pre-pay, run, and post-pay steps.
• Enter standard inputs (timesheets, allowances, deductions) and validate against records.
• Run predefined checks and reconcile simple variances; escalate when needed.
• Create and maintain employee payroll records and audit evidence.
• Support expense management and routine payroll tasks under supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality and basic compliance awareness (GDPR/POPIA).
