Job summary

Filigran is seeking a Data Protection Officer and Compliance Lead to design and run a scalable privacy program across its international footprint. You will ensure privacy governance, oversee DPIAs and data transfers, and lead AI governance and regulatory compliance efforts in a fast-growing, remote-first cybersecurity company.

You will work closely with GC, CEO and CISO to align privacy with business strategy, product development and customer assurance while advancing global compliance

Qualifications

• 7–10 years’ experience as a DPO, data privacy lead or compliance officer in tech/SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, DPIAs and data transfers.
• Experience with EU AI Act and cross-border compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Act as Filigran’s DPO and primary contact for authorities and data subjects.
• Design and operate Filigran’s privacy program including DPIAs and data transfers.
• Lead compliance controls across AI governance, NIS2, resilience, export controls and sanctions.
• Maintain a proportionate compliance framework with policies and monitoring.
• Partner with Security to translate regulatory requirements into practical controls.
• Embed privacy and regulatory requirements into product development and vendor management.
• Monitor EU/UK/US regulatory developments and advise leadership.
• Support enterprise sales and procurement with privacy/compliance responses.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and build AI capabilities into workflows.
