Job summary

Ford is seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer to lead EU and UK privacy frameworks across Ford Motor Company and Ford Credit. This role entails guiding the organisation on GDPR obligations, governance, and supervisory engagement, with a strong emphasis on practical privacy compliance across a multinational structure.

The DPO will partner with the German team, drive DPIAs when needed, and provide clear guidance to stakeholders while maintaining data subjects' rights and a culture of data

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of EU GDPR, UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
• Proven experience performing DPO tasks in a large multinational.
• Independence, integrity and sound judgement in the role.

Responsibilities

• Inform and advise on data protection obligations under GDPR and related law.
• Monitor compliance, responsibilities, training and audits.
• Provide DPIA advice and monitor performance.
• Co-operate with supervisory authorities including ICO and national DPAs.
• Act as a contact point for authorities and data subjects on processing matters.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical actions for business teams.
