Job summary

Altia in Brussels is seeking a Data Scientist to join international digital transformation initiatives focused on agricultural data governance, ML, and AI compliance. You will develop end-to-end ML solutions and build robust data pipelines in a distributed data environment.

The role requires strong Python/SQL/R skills, experience with Power BI and data quality checks, and the ability to work across policy leads, data providers, and users.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of data analysis or data science experience.
• 2+ years in data management and visualization for agriculture.
• Master's degree or 5+ years higher education in IT-related field.
• English proficiency at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy end-to-end ML models for agricultural data.
• Design experiments including A/B testing and cross-validation.
• Implement data governance, data quality checks and regulatory compliance.
• Build data pipelines with REST APIs, ETL/ELT and data lakes/lakehouses.
• Provide user guidance and support to data users and providers.
