Tractebel is seeking a Medior Engineer in Radiological Characterisation to join the Radiation Protection, Radwaste and Decommissioning Competence Centre. You will deliver high-level engineering studies and support clients nationally and internationally.

You will work hybrid with on-site Doel site presence up to 3 days weekly, collaborating with project managers and other centers to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering or sciences.
• At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear sector.
• Fluent in Dutch and English; French is an asset.
• Ability to draw up reports in Dutch and English.
• Willing to work on the Doel site up to 3 days per week.
• Knowledge of IT tools; Python is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Deliver projects, tasks and studies entrusted to you.
• Interface between Doel site activities and the Competence Centre; align field and office work.
• Develop characterisation programmes and perform engineering studies.
• Maintain close interaction with field teams; work up to 3 days per week on Doel site.
• Conduct radiological characterisation studies following client and agencies’ expectations.
• Monitor gamma spectrometry and dose rate equipment; develop technical expertise.
