Sopra Steria is seeking an experienced Solution / Enterprise Architect to strengthen its Public Sector practice in Belgium. You will act as a trusted advisor to government organisations, bridging business strategy and technical execution while ensuring secure, scalable architectures.

Responsibilities include leading presales, designing enterprise architectures, and guiding cloud strategies aligned with EU standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT architecture (≥4 years in Belgian public sector).
• Public sector knowledge of key institutions and frameworks.
• Strong TOGAF (ADM) and ArchiMate expertise.
• Experience with APIs, microservices and integration platforms.
• Cloud: Azure preferred; Kubernetes; DevSecOps.
• Dutch and/or French + English; bilingual is a plus.
• Strong client focus and advisory mindset.
• Ability to simplify complex topics for senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, influence and leadership skills.
• Structured, results-driven and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Curious and proactive about innovation and eGovernment trends.

Responsabilités

• Identify and develop opportunities within public sector clients.
• Contribute to and lead presales and proposal development.
• Build stakeholder networks across client organisations.
• Support public tenders, framework agreements, and bid reviews.
• Drive scope extensions and revenue growth.
• Design enterprise and solution architectures for complex programmes.
• Define blueprints using TOGAF, ArchiMate, and OSLO standards.
• Lead architecture boards and ensure security, scalability, interoperability.
• Advise on cloud strategies (Azure preferred) aligned with G-Cloud.
• Embed NIS2, GDPR, ISO 27001 requirements in designs.
• Act as lead architecture advisor at management level.
• Translate technical concepts into executive communication.
• Lead governance bodies (steering committees, architecture boards).
• Influence strategic decisions and promote best practices.
• Contribute to thought leadership and market visibility.
• Ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of architecture artefacts.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure implementation alignment.
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks.
• Apply company methodologies and quality standards.
• Contribute to architecture community of practice and accelerators.
• Mentor junior consultants and architects; support recruitment.
