Job summary

Catalay in Belgium is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement, from tendering to contract management, and to negotiate with suppliers both domestically and internationally.

You will source industrial equipment, manage ERP purchase orders, and ensure auditable procurement files while collaborating with internal customers to anticipate needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years procurement experience in industrial/engineering/EPC environment.
• Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills; knowledge of FIDIC/public procurement is a plus.
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Coupa, D365) and advanced Excel.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
• Organised and autonomous; able to manage multiple files to deadlines.

• Anticipate internal customers’ purchasing needs through data analysis and build a category purchasing plan.
• Manage active contracts: change orders, claims, renegotiations and contractual risk.
• Create and track purchase orders in the ERP system, and keep procurement files complete and auditable.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Applied Economics, Supply Chain or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience, ideally in an industrial, engineering or EPC/EPCM environment.
• Strong negotiation skills and comfortable drafting contractual texts. Knowledge of FIDIC contracts or public procurement is an asset.
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Coupa, Dynamics 365 or equivalent) and strong Excel skills. Fluent French and English, with Dutch a strong asset.
• Organised and autonomous, able to handle several files in parallel under project deadlines. Driving licence B.
