Job summary

DIGI Belgium is hiring a Prevention Advisor Level 2 to ensure safe working environments across mobile and fixed telecom projects. The role combines field presence with office work, requiring mobility across sites and cities and collaboration with the Health and Safety team.

As a permanent employee you will contribute to safety policy development, risk analyses, incident investigations and compliance audits, while fostering a proactive safety culture and delivering trainings.

Qualifications

• Certified Prevention Advisor Level 2 or in the process of acquiring Level 2 (Level 1 is an advantage)
• Experience in construction of mobile and/or fixed telecommunication networks is an advantage
• Willing and able to be mobile across different sites, combined with office-based work

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve safety policies and procedures for telecom activities (mobile and fixed)
• Conduct risk analyses for network construction, installation and maintenance
• Perform regular site visits to monitor safety compliance and address hazards
• Investigate incidents and near-misses and define corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with Belgian safety legislation and telecom standards via audits and reviews
• Promote a strong safety culture across engineers, contractors, project managers and management
• Support development and delivery of safety trainings and toolbox talks
• Act as safety partner for telecom projects throughout the lifecycle
• Liaise with external authorities and inspection bodies on safety matters

To support our fast-growing telecom activities, we are looking for a PreventionAdvisor Level 2 or on the way to acquiring Level 2 who will play akey role in ensuring safe working environments across both mobile and fixednetwork construction projects.

This role combines field presence and office-based work,requiring mobility across different sites and cities.

As member of the Health and Safety team, your Key Responsibilities :

• Safety Policies: Develop, implement, and continuously improvesafety policies and procedures adapted to telecom engineering activities(mobile and fixed networks);
• Risk Analysis & Assessments: Conduct risk analyses for network construction,installation, and maintenance activities, both on-site and in office-basedprojects;
• Field Safety Oversight: Perform regular site visits to monitor compliancewith safety regulations, identify hazards, and proactively address riskson mobile and fixed network construction sites;
• Incident & Accident Investigation: Investigate incidents and near-misses, performroot cause analyses, and define corrective and preventive actions to avoidrecurrence;
• Compliance & Audits: Ensure compliance with Belgian safety legislationand telecom-specific standards through inspections, audits, and safetyreviews;
• Safety Culture Development: Work closely with engineers, contractors, projectmanagers, and management to promote a strong safety culture across theorganization;
• Training & Awareness: Support the development and delivery of safetytrainings, toolbox meetings, and awareness campaigns for internal teamsand external partners;
• Project Support: Act as a safety partner for telecom projects,advising engineering and deployment teams throughout the projectlifecycle;
• External Coordination: Liaise with external authorities, inspectionbodies, and partners regarding safety matters when required;

Your Profile:

• Certified Prevention Advisor Level 2 or in theprocess of acquiring Level 2 (Level 1 is an advantage);
• Experience in construction of mobile and/or fixedtelecommunications networks is an advantage.
• Fluent in French or Dutch, with a goodprofessional knowledge of English, Romanian is a plus;
• Willing and able to be mobile across differentsites, combined with office-based work;
• Strong analytical mindset with a pragmatic,hands-on approach;
• Able to work independently while collaboratingclosely with engineering, QHSE, and project teams.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Belgian telecom safety standards andregulations;
• Experience working with contractors andsubcontractors in telecom environments.
